- Post combustion CO2 capture technology development at European Technology Centre at Mongstad, Norway (TCM):
Since August 2009, part time secondment as Amine Technology Support engineer within Project team managing EPC contracts. September 2007 – December 2008, full time secondment as Amine Technology Lead engineer in Project team managing FEED contracts and EPC tenders. Awarded with one Shell Special Recognition Award for contribution to this project.
Developing guidelines for evaluating post combustion CO2 capture technologies.
- Specialist advice on gas and liquid treating to world wide clients
- Technical assistance for the start-up of a new gas treating unit and two new liquid propane treating unit in U.A.E and in Saudi Arabia, production audit at two LNG plants in Algeria, executed trouble shooting (Germany).
- Development of scouting/feasibility studies/BDP’s/test run simulations for various plants (refineries, GTL, LNG plants, gas/oil production, CO2 capture)
- Lead and verify studies prepared by junior technologists
- Prepare commercial offers

- Specialist advice on distillation to world wide clients
- Production audit at one Turkish refinery (4 weeks on site).
- Development of scouting/feasibility studies/BOD/BDP’s/test run simulations in various refining process (e.g. CDU, HVU, FCCU, Platformer, HDS, naphtha minus, SWS)
- Responsible for designing (from start to end) a full package for one new LPG Recovery Unit (feasibility study, BOD customer contacts and extended BDP)
- Executed trouble shooting (Japan, France); on site process water review (Germany); Desktop Safety Review (Malaysia)
- Design columns and vessels including internals
- Prepared commercial offers
- Awarded with three Shell Special Recognition Awards

- On site specialist advice on corrosion / fouling control for process units and utilities, desalting, slops dewatering, water deoiling and H2S abatment (heavy fuel oil) to French and Belgian refineries
- Responsible for selling, preparing and executing contracts
- Manage and mentor one technician
- Executed trouble shootings (process water, cooling water, desalting and waste water)
- Succeeded in continuous improvement of KPIs
- Significant turnover increase over a six-year period
