Matthieu Fleys
Chercheur, Shell Global Solutions International B.V.
I am a process engineer working for the Shell group since November 2006.
My professional activities are related to hydrogen and syngas production using Shell Gasification Process technology and Steam Reforming technology.
Since May 2011, I have joined the R&D department working on syngas conversion into synthetic fuel by the Fischer-Tropsch reaction. Our objective is to develop the new generation of GTL catalysts.
These technologies are leading the GTL industry with major projects in China, Malaysia and Qatar.
I have developed competencies in catalysis development, process simulation tools, commissioning & start-up of gasification process units, hydrogen services for refinery and pinch study for hydrogen network optimization.
Chercheur dans le departement GTL "Gas to Liquid" dans le centre de R&D de Shell à Amsterdam.
Nous développons la nouvelle génération des catalyseurs Fischer-Tropsch pour les futures usines GTL de Shell.
Researcher in the GTL (Gas to Liquids) department in charge of developing and testing the new generation catalysts (Fischer-Tropsch) for future GTL plants.
2010 - 2011Technologist in charge of the commissioning and start-up of the hydrogen manufacturing unit (steam reformer) in Shell Pearl Qatar.
This was a six-month assignment and was successfully achieved in 2011.
2009 - 2010Mai 2009 - Mai 2010
2009 - 2010May 2009 - May 2010
Short term international assignment in Malaysia (SMDS Shell Middle Distillate Synthesis)
Technologist for the start-up of a new gasification process unit in the Shell Gas To Liquid (GTL) plant.
2006 - 2011Process Engineer in the Gasification & Hydrogen Manufacturing department
